PASIGHAT:- A joint meeting of all newly elected Gram Panchayat Member,Anchal Samity Member and Zilla Parishad Members of Mebo Mongu Banggo Anchal block and chair persons was held at Motum village April 23. Shri Lombo Tayeng Minister culture Tourism and T. Darang Deputy Commissioner, East Siang along with head of department Mebo, Pasighat attended the meeting.

The minister advised the newly elected members and Chairpersons to be active and discharge their responsibility for the benefit of interior area. He hoped the member to act as per provision of Panchayat act and to co-operate with govt. department in promulgating and implementing Scheme. He also explained how the State Govt. under the leadership of Chief Minister, Mukut Mithi has fulfilled the constitutional obligation by conducting Panchayat elections for the over all interest of the people enabling them to participate in the self governance. Shri T. Darang, Deputy, East Siang who also addressed the members highlighted the power and functions of the member and appealed them co-ordinate with all department while formulating scheme. Shri T. Pabin Chairperson East Siang Zilla Parishad appealed the members to extend mutual co-operation for successful functioning of respective Anchal block.

Shri T. Dabi Minister Agriculture alongwith Shri T. Darang, Deputy Commissioner, East Siang attended the Parag Festival of Mishing at Shikari Basti Jonai (Assam ) on April 24 last, reports DIPRO, Pasighat.

Addressing the gathering Shri Dabi said that Parag is one of the great festival of Mishings and it symbolize the observation of own culture & tradition. He exhorted the people living in the inter-State boundary areas to jointly endevour for all round development of both the areas and called upon them to maintain harmonious relations with one another. School education of the area is the only answer for the development of the areas, he said. He further asked them to avoid copying of culture and stressed on strengthening of School. He also donated Rs. 5000/- ( Rupees Five thousand ) only to the organizers of the festival. 

Shri T. Darang said that people should live harmoniously and peacefully. They should have understanding and co-operate for the development of the area. He emphasized on maintaining the age old culture and tradition. This will promote emotional integration, he added and also donated Rs. 1000/- ( Rupees One thousand ), the report added.
