CHANGLANG:-     A four day Industrial Management Training Course cum sellers and Buyers meet for 25 Nos. of entrepreneurs was conducted at Changlang from April 21st-24th last, reports DIPRO, Changlang. On the concluding day of the training a valedictory function was held DDI's office, Changlang under the Chairmanship of Shri Talem Tapok, Deputy commissioner, Changlang. All the participants of this course were selected form entire Changlang District in the age group of 18 to 35 years. The main aims and objectives of the training was readout by Shri A.K. Sharma, DDI, Changlang. The training was organized by the DIC Changlang under the supervision of Shri A.K. Sharma, DDI, Changlang.

Shri Thinghap Taiju, Minister of State IFCD graced the occasion while Shri Phosum Khimhun, MLA was the guest of honour. Among others Shri N.M. Das, CO cum i/c DIPRO, DMO, ARCS, EE(RWD) Shri N.K. Lungchang, ZPM and Smti W. Pongte, ASM Chairperson were present. While speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest Shri Taiju said that Industrial department has been rendering service to the rural educated un- employed youths of this part of the country by way of imparting training to acquire the knowledge of the Industrial Management. He also urged the trainees to work hard for their self employment. Encouraging and advising the trainees, Shri Khimhun, Hon'ble MLA said that this management training is most important for unemployed educated youths to earn the income source for their livelihood. He also appealed to all the youths not to practice the any form of drugs especially Opium addiction which destroyed the life of individual.

Presiding over the function as the Chairman, Shri Talem Tapok, Deputy commissioner, Changlang said that this training was imparted to the ruraleducated un-employed youth in the Industrial Management and to gain
experience and knowledge of newly introduced schemes like PMRY, IRDP, Agri & Horti. Base schemes. He also appreciated all the participants for active participation in the training and advised to work hard for self employment for their future prosperity and brightness.

The Newly elected ZPM, Shri N.K. Lungchang and Smti W. Pongte also spoke on the occasion. The successful training completion certificate were given away by the Hon'ble Minister of State IFCD, Shri Taiju to the participants, the reports added.

CHANGLANG:-     The Pongtu festival of Tutsas was celebrated on April 11 last at Changlang district Headquarter with great traditional gaiety and fervour. The Deputy Commissioner, Shri Talem Tapok graced the occasion as the Chief guest while Shri Thinghap Taiju, Minister of State IFCD and Shri Phosum Khimhun, MLA attended the function as guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion Shri Tapok appealed the people to preserve and protect rich cultural heritage. Addressing the function Shri Taiju said that festival is a forum for preservation of traditional culture and one's own identity promoting and strengthening for fraternity. All the Officers, Officials, public leaders and public participated in the colourful celebration. All the people from respective villages of Yatdam circle thronged the community field and displayed their traditional folk dances on the festive occasion, reports DIPRO,Changlang.
