YINGKIONG APRIL 26 : The two-day Farmers Training on Rodent Management under Integrated pest Management Approach, a centrally sponsored programme, organized by Agricultural Department ended, at Multipurpose Hall Yingkiong. on April 26,reports DIPRO.

The District Agriculture Officer, i V.K. Verma, while highlighting the Bamboo flowering and its relation with rats menace explained all about the way to do away with rats either in field or in storage. He said that Bamboo flowing usually occurs once in 30 or 40 years in which the rate of rat population explodes and moves to different locations after drying up of flowers.

More than 80 farmers from Shimong, Halleng and Gette village participated where in resource persons I.K.Singh DHO,i M. Ete ADO, S.K.Singh AFA(Sr) and Ram Singh HDO imparted the training.

Earlier, Smti. Yaken Danggen chairperson Zilla Parishad and Alo Libang ZPM attended chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
