PASHIGHAT, MARCH 31: MLA, Omak Apang has urged the Health department to propose for a multi- crore project for Ruksin Community Health Centre (CHC) and establish a corporate fund for sustaining the running of the hospital development activities. Omak was inaugurating the the 3rd phase of special drive for cataract surgery under NRHM conducted at Ruksin CHC on March 30 last, reports DIPRO. The MLA, appreciated the East Siang District Blind Control Society (DBCS), for bringing health services to the poor and needy people to the doorstep. Taking the opportunity of the presence of all the Panchayat members on the occasion, Omak Apang further said that more developmental activities will be taking place in Arunachal as the state is going to have a very strong financial position. There will be some modification in the concept of AOP and Health and Education sectors will be given special priority for all round development of the state, he added. He also briefed the Panchayati Raj Institution members (PRI)of the various schemes taken up for his constituency. A total number of 14 cataract cases were operated by senior Eye Surgeons, Dr. D. Pait; Dr. O. Moyong and Ophthalmologist Dr. Beauty Borang. While welcoming the MLA, the DMO, sought his assistance in solving the acute accommodation problem of the CHC which is the only functional first Referral unit( FRU) in Arunachal. The function was also  attended by SDO, EAC & BDO of Ruksin Sub-division, DLO,Doctors of Ruksin CHC and many other public leaders & PRI member.
