ALONG, MARCH 30: Kirnya Bagra, DDSE, Along has been felicitated with " LIFE TIME ACHIEVERS AWARD " for the year 2005-06 by Global Society, Health and Education Growth, New Delhi, in recognition to his dedicated and meritorious services rendered as a teacher and school administrator. The award will be presented on April 10 next at a function at New Delhi. This is in addition to six other prestigious awards bagged by him. He was felicitated by the district administration with commendation certificate, state award for the teachers 1999, National award for teacher in 2003, Bharatiya Shiksha gold medal award 2004, gold medal and certificate by Rastriya Samata Swatantrata Munch, Jaipur in 2004, for his notable contribution in the field of education. These awards speak volumes about the talent and hard works he carries to his profession.

Born in 1950 at Bagra village of West Siang District, Bagra did he Schooling at Along and graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru College Pasighat. He joined services in the department of education as teacher in 1976. He was promoted to Headmaster in 1992. He was again promoted as Principal in the year/ 1999 and posted at Likabali Higher Secondary School and the School was declared as best School for academic excellence and awarded cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. |

He says that he considers his work as worship and gives top priority to
discipline and duty. The awards which have come in recognition to his
services gives him scope for self- introspection of his long career, he admits.
