YINGKIONG, April 10: The State govt. has already submitted Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the proposed Road network in the right bank of river Siang and the matter is under the consideration of the Centre said the state chief minister , Gegong Apang while addressing the people of Gette village.The State Chief Minister Shri Gegong Apang, who was on a three-day to Yinkiong from April 5 to 7 last had inspected the Sipit Hydel Intake Point site, Govt Primary School Gette and Circum to Singa Road Apang during a meeting with the Engineer and Laborers at Sipit Hydel Intake Point said the purpose of his visit was to see the actual position and progress of the work. He further called for expediting the work for timely completion.The Executive Engineer HPD, Er. Atek Miya informed that the drifting of tunnel in a pure rock at Intake Point is of 65 meters in length out of which 20 meters completed and the rest expected to be completed within 1st week of May 2006. During a surprise visit to Gette Primary School, the CM asked the teachers and students to take care of their school properties, as Govt. cannot provide fund for the same purpose repeatedly.. Apang further urged the teachers to create proper and conducive environment for quality education to make the children responsible citizen of tomorrow. During his meeting with the villagers of Gette , he said that the output of 4 mega watt Sipit Hydel taken from the Sipit stream of Gette will provide power to many places, and thus is a matter of pride for the people of Gette. Referring to the block point due the muddy and wet soil  condition between Yingkiong to Gette road , he urged the concerned EE (PWD) to work out a permanent solution the problem .He appealed the villagers to plan for gainful sources of self employment. While inspecting the Circum to Singa road project upto the last point, despite the inclement weather, said that the road could not only connect interior Singa , but would also help to explore places of tourist interests.
